ABOUT & FAQ
About
Archie's Ache-Away is a family business, made on our own farm in Kia Ora, Queensland. It's named after my son, Archie — he's the inspiration behind this business, and a daily reminder to keep things simple, natural, and real.
We grow our own comfrey by hand and slowly infuse it into Australian extra virgin olive oil, then blend it with a touch of local beeswax from beekeepers nearby. That's it — no fillers, no nasties, just pure, natural ingredients from people we know. Supporting local growers and producers is part of what makes Archie's Ache-Away special to us.
Every tin is still hand-poured in small batches, not mass-produced. It takes more time, but it keeps the balm fresh and effective, and lets us stay hands-on with every step — from the farm to your door.

Frequently Asked Questions
Below are some of the questions we're asked most often about the balm itself.
Do you have different strengths or varieties?
Yes — Archie's Ache-Away comes in three varieties. Each has the same full strength of comfrey, with a different essential oil blend:
Lemon Myrtle — fresh and uplifting
Night Repair (with Lavender) — calming, perfect before rest
Sports Balm (with Menthol and Camphor) — cooling and invigorating
What is Archie's Ache-Away made from?
Just comfrey (grown on our farm), Australian extra virgin olive oil, local beeswax, and essential oils. Comfrey has been known for centuries as "knitbone" — it contains allantoin and rosmarinic acid, which support the body's natural repair process and help soothe everyday aches. Real relief, naturally.
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
Most people with sensitive skin find Archie's Ache-Away gentle and soothing. As with any natural product, we recommend doing a small patch test first.
Does it contain arnica or magnesium?
No — our formula is strictly comfrey, olive oil, and beeswax. No arnica, no magnesium, no fillers.
How should I apply it, and how often?
Massage a small amount into the affected area until absorbed. Use 2–3 times daily, or as needed — a little goes a long way.
Can I use it on children or pets?
For external use only. We recommend checking with your health professional before use on children under 12, or on animals.
How should I store it, and how long does it last?
Keep the lid firmly closed, in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, and it will keep for 12 months from the date of purchase. It may naturally lose a little scent or colour over time — this won't affect how well it works. If it melts in hot weather, don't worry — just let it cool and it will set again.
Is Archie's Ache-Away vegan?
No — our balm contains beeswax.
Can I stock Archie's Ache-Away in my shop or clinic?
Yes — we love working with like-minded stores and practitioners. Get in touch and we'll send through everything you need.
